Rust Construction participated in the 53rd Annual Alexandria Christmas Walk on December 7th. The weather could not have been better. We had friends and family load up in the back of the dump truck and hand out candy along the parade route. The youngest participant, 14-month-old John, slept through most of the event in a baby sling on his mother. The rest of us had a great time! Thank you to everyone who helped us with the parade. Thank you to the parade organizers. Most of all, thank you to anyone who cheered us on along the parade route!
Why was Rust Construction in the parade? Well for one, it’s always fun to wear a tartan pattern! While the Rust family itself claims Scottish heritage, Rust Construction is a business made up of people who have come from all over the world to live and work here – immigrants like the Scottish merchants, landowners, tradesmen, and indentured servants who helped establish & build Alexandria and the surrounding area.
